The Self that Returns

Within the allotted time, carry the gem to the time machine — Rotor.

The reversed self must escape before the deadline, or be trapped in the loop.

You will eventually hold the gem.

You will eventually become your reversed self.

Only the successful version of you will be remembered by time.

The Self That Returns is a 2D time-loop puzzle game created for the Game Makers Tool Kit 2025 Jam, with the theme: Loop.

Inspired by the film Tenet, in the game, you will execute special commands within a time loop. Your objective is to solve puzzles, grab the treasure, and reach the rotor in time. Meanwhile, you must also guide the player who is reversing time to leave within the set time limit.
